Initial impressions: My Halide Pro kit arrived on time, well-packed, and I was amazed to find how easy to use it is. Wearing my favourite anorak I'd read the instructions carefully, but they were quite un-necessary. The lamp unit is a thing of beauty, precision-engineered and elegant. The battery pack is pleasantly small and lightweight for such a powerful unit and fits snug under my top tube. And the beam is fantastic. In brightly lit town riding in heavy traffic, I felt safe knowing the car drivers couldn't fail to see me. In dimmer streets I could see the potholes way in front of me so I could keep up a decent speed in confidence. I can see my evening ride home being a much more pleasant experience from now on. Just some feedback about the LED3 system that I bought in 2009 - I used it this summer on the 1600km Mille Miglia Audax event in Italy - using it on commute mode using the spot mode generally and flood on mountain descents - completing 22 hours + of night riding on a single charge - what an excellent system. When I started Audax events 8 years ago the comment was that it was easier to put a man on the moon than have a perfect lighting system - Lumicycle are better than Houston. - October 2010
