General Questions on Lumicycle Bike Lights

Is my Lumicycle lighting system waterproof?

Our lighting systems are water-resistant, not water-proof. They will withstand rain, snow, mud and damp conditions. However, they are not designed to be submerged underwater or used as diving lamps.

Who manufactures the components used in Lumicycle systems?

Lumicycle prides itself on the quality of the components used in its lighting systems. Our Halogen lamps are manufactured by market leaders General Electric, Osram and Phillips. Our Metal Halide lamps are manufactured by Welch Allyn, the only company to have miniaturised this advanced technology.Lumicycle NiMH batteries are manufactured by Sanyo and our Li-Ions by Samsung and Tainjian Lishen.Lumicycle battery chargers are manufactured in Norway. Our anodised aluminium lamp housings are CNC machined by a local company based in Poole.

Can I order spare parts for my Lumicycle system?

Yes.Lumicycle systems are designed to be fully serviceable from top to bottom and not thrown away. The majority of parts used in our systems can be replaced. If you wish to order a replacement part and it is not on the website, please call us and we will do our best to help you.

Will Lumicycle carry out repairs to my light system and if so, will they charge me?

Lumicycle does carry out repairs. If the system is still in warranty and the problem is due to faulty parts and workmanship we will do this at no cost to the user. If the warranty has expired, we will do all we can to help but this is likely to incur a charge.

There is something wrong with my Lumicycle system? What should I do?

If there is a problem with your Lumicycle lighting system which cannot be remedied by the suggestions above, please contact us.Please note, if you have a problem with your Halide Lamp Unit, please do not send the Halide bulb back. The Halide bulbs are very fragile in the post, and the warranty does not cover damage while in transit (for obvious reasons).
