LI-ION BATTERY

LI-ION FAST CHARGER TYPE 2241

You can configure your own Halogen 2012 Twin System

Evolving from the classic award winning NiMH2000, the Halogen range utilises the very latest and best in Lithium Ion battery technology to produce a massive increase in lighting power for even less weight. And now the newest Elite26 and Pro52 batteries stretch run times 30% more than their Elite22 and Pro44 predecessors.

The new ultra-lightweight 14.8 volt, 5.2 Amp Hour (76 Watt/ Hour) Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries overdrive the lamp by 20% producing a massive 60% increase in brightness whilst maintaining staggeringly long run times. Over-charge, over-discharge and short-circuit protection circuitry are built into the batteries to ensure maintenance free operation and long life. The batteries comes in a choice of frame mount bag or bottle cage mount. The Li-Ion System also comes complete with a three stage fast Li-Ion battery charger.

Custom lamp configuration makes this system ideal for a one hour sprint, for a two to three hour night ride or for a longer five to ten hour enduro event. They are ideal also for commuting, night training rides or for longer audax events. Utilising high performance technologies this system places the light exactly where you need it; on the trail or road ahead.

Choose exactly which lamp you use for your lamp unit from a range of six high quality Halogen Dichroic spot, mid or flood lamps, see table below for lamp specifications and burn times. Remember it's no big deal which lamps you choose because spare lamps cost just £8-99 and are easy to swap over. The lamp units can be fitted or removed from the bike in seconds. They're also independently switchable for total control.

"Thie classic 12 Watt Spot 20 Watt Flood off road system has won more awards than any other light since it was first introduced in 2004. In MBUKs Oct 2008 light test it was compared against big LED systems but the testers declared it had the most spread and reach of any of those. That's pretty amazing. On a fullly charged battery this system pumps out close to 1000 Lumens! This is because ultra-lightweight Sanyo Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries overdrive the halogen lamps by 20% producing a massive 60% increase in brightness. We've upped the battery from 4.4Amp/Hour to 5.2 Amp/Hour and dropped the price from £200 to £180. We reckon that's the cheapest most reliable twin 1000 Lumen system you'll find."

5 Watt 7° Spot6.6 Watts110 Lumens6 Hours12 Hours17 HoursPenetrating beam yet very economical with up to 17 hours run time. Idea for Audax. This lamp is also a firm favourite of the commuter, equipped with the optional Halogen Glow ring to give high visibility from the side this lamp can be used for a week of commuting on one full charge.Used with the 12 Watt spot this makes a very economical urban/ rural commuter system
10 Watt 38° Flood13.2 Watts260 Lumens3 Hours6 Hours9 HoursThe 10 Watt Lamp with its wide 38 ° Flood is idea for urban use where a wide angle of visibility is required. The 5 hour Run Time is also very attractive to road riders. The compliment of this lamp would be one of the spots for urban/ rural riding. It is also used with the 20 spot as an off road system.
12 Watt 8° Spot15.8 Watts370 Lumens 2.4 Hours4.8 Hours7.2 HoursThe 12 watt spot is the perfect lamp for singletrack or use on the road. It has a penetrating beam but also a wide halo to give lots of confidence. This is a very efficient lamp. Don't leave home without itUse with any of the other lamps. Also pretty good with another 12 Watt Spot
20 Watt 10° Spot26 Watts650 Lumens1.4 Hours2.9 Hours4.3 HoursA brighter and slightly broader version of the 12 Watt Spot. Great for road riding where 2.2 hours is the max run time. With the 5 or 12 Watt Spot for Road riding
20 Watt 20° Mid26 Watts650 Lumens1.4 Hours2.9 Hours4.3 HoursFor a single lamp the 20 Mid is the best choice for combined road and off road riding with a max 2.2 hours. With its even beam is good to see across the road and for warning on-coming drivers of your presence without blinding them with a huge wide beam.We would tend to use this with a 12 Spot for the ideal rural/ urban commuter/ training system.
20 Watt 30° Flood26 Watts650 Lumens1.4 Hours2.9 Hours4.3 HoursThe 20 Flood is great for illuminating technical sections or in the woods. Not recommenced for on road use except in slow heavy moving urban traffic where being seen at all costs is vitalIdeally paired with the 12 Watt Spot as the ultimate off road combo. The 20 Flood is used as the extra lamp to illuminate technical or wooded sections.

What our customers say

Just some feedback about the LED3 system that I bought in 2009 - I used it this summer on the 1600km Mille Miglia Audax event in Italy - using it on commute mode using the spot mode generally and flood on mountain descents - completing 22 hours + of night riding on a single charge - what an excellent system. When I started Audax events 8 years ago the comment was that it was easier to put a man on the moon than have a perfect lighting system - Lumicycle are better than Houston. - October 2010

Colin Bezant

Some great service. It's a good price for the upgrade and I really appreciate what Lumicycle is doing for it's loyal customer base. Sept 2009

Evan Jardine-Skinner

Thanks for all the work above and beyond normal service levels.
